Credit information and affordability answer different questions
A credit check looks at relevant credit information. An affordability assessment considers whether a proposed repayment fits current income, expenses and existing commitments. Lendeka requires both for a new loan, including a returning-customer application.
Can I apply with a poor credit record?
A score alone cannot establish eligibility. Lendeka does not publish a guaranteed minimum score, promise acceptance of adverse records or offer loans without checks. If information may be inaccurate, review the report and follow the dispute process.
Will the calculator affect my record?
No. It calculates in your browser without your identity, a bureau enquiry or an application submission. A result is an estimate, not a pre-approval or a credit limit.
What if I am under debt review?
Do not use a new application to bypass debt review. Speak to your registered debt counsellor about your status. Read the debt-review guidance.
If an application is declined
Ask the creditor for the reasons and how to correct any inaccurate information. Do not pay someone promising a guaranteed reversal. The declined-application checklist sets out useful next steps.
