A payment mandate, not loan approval

DebiCheck is a way to authenticate debit-order details with your bank. When it is used in an agreement, review the creditor, amount, collection date and any permitted variation before accepting. It does not itself approve a loan or confirm that a payout has been received.

Use your bank’s official channel

Follow your bank’s own instructions in its app, internet banking or other supported channel. Do not provide a bank PIN or OTP to a caller or message sender. Ask your bank directly if an unexpected authentication request appears.

If details do not match

Do not accept a mandate you do not recognise. Contact the creditor through a verified route and ask for the discrepancy to be corrected. Keep the reference for the request.

A mandate and a debt are different

Stopping or disputing a debit order does not by itself cancel a valid loan agreement. If you disagree with a collection or cannot pay, speak to the bank and creditor about the appropriate process. Your bank can explain mandate disputes.
